| | Most of my material is along the line of light humor, although I occasionally write something with serious intent. I make absolutely no claim to being able to produce "great literature." I do not want "Critical Reviews" and so never check that box. Courteous suggestions are certainly welcome and I have made changes based on them many times. But please don't tell me about rhyme and meter. I care nothing for those things and never did really understand them when I was in undergraduate school. At my age, it is too late to learn them now. I write for folks who are ready for something other than poems of woe, misery, cutting, divorce, suicide, death and other grim subjects. An abundance of such poems already exist so why should I add to them! I have written many hundreds of poems of varying quality as well as short stories and articles. Humor writes are my favorite. My work is easy to understand and straightforward. I write under my real name. |
