Where is my friend of long ago?

There is a hatred people keep
it turns the soul dark and deep,
It seems to have no boundaries
words of hatred she spew at me,
Inside her heart is dark and cold
she feels no love,truth be told
As each day seems to pass
her anger only grows more fierce,
I can not reach her anymore
a friendship gone forevermore,
Now only hatred does she show
where is my friend of long ago.

the emotions i feel in your words are raw, powerful & very profound. i feel the wondererment & anger through your words so vividly, for i believe we all know someone who changed & we wonder where the real them went to. terrific writing, great emotions & my pleasure to read.
