GOT THE FLU--WHO KNEW

GOT THE FLU!!! WHO KNEW???

LYING IN BED GOT THE FLU,NOT MUCH I CAN DO
EVERY TIME I COUGH, JEEZ I PEE MY PANTS
SO ILL JUST WRITE THIS OLD LADY'S RANTS
AND WHEN I GET HUNGRY,ILL LAY AND WAIT
FOR HUBBY TO FEED ME,GEE ITS GETTING LATE
BUT ILL BE QUIET AND I WONT COMPLAIN
OR I MAY NEVER SEE ANOTHER MEAL AGAIN
NOW I'M HOPING MY MEDS WORK REAL FAST
CAUSE HUBBY CAN BE A REAL PAIN IN THE A--

A thoroughly enjoyable poem . It is succinct and well written . There is a vein of humour which runs through it . This sort of poem is right up my street. Thanks for sharing

Bad day

Sounds like someone is truly having a really bad day. A nice flowing write with a lot of LOL. I would say that, BEING QUIET AND I WONT COMPLAIN is hard to do while feeling like this.
