Creepy Crawly-Through The Eyes Of A Serial Killer

I search for one to play my game,
To fall in Creepy Crawly’s net
It cannot be just anyone,
She’ll be unique, the one I get

The full moon shining bright tonight,
My Creepy Crawly beckons thee
I smell the air, zone in on you
Then turn to you, so you can see

Pure evil stands in front of you
You turn away and try to scream
But I’m too fast, I grab your throat
And carry out my evil scheme

Don’t wonder what you could’ve done
Was not your fault, you lying there
Snug as a bug in your own bed
So innocently unaware

You fight a bit, but soon give up
As Creepy Crawly’s killing you
I have my way, I have my fun
Wasn’t anything you could do

You lie there silent, almost dead
So beautiful, I stroke your hair
I watch life flicker from your eyes
You watch me now, with that blank stare

All that you were belongs to me
We’ll always have special rapport
You heed my will, you are my slave
You’re with me now, forevermore

With my work done, I make my leave
I stalk back out into the night
To lurk in darkness once again
To wait for more to tease with fright

Author Notes
I am deeply addicted to true crime and serial killers in particular. In my mind, the worst of these are the "home invader". Here we are, (supposedly) safe and sound, minding our own business in our home, when the most evil of killers strikes...chilling, scary and horrific! The most innocent of victims, victimized by the most atrocious of killers...here, I tried to write through the eyes of the killer instead of the victim...it scares me that my goal was met easily, without thought...this poem was written in less than 20 minutes and begs the question; Do I have it in me?

A clever write
This is really well done and well titled.
Creepy Crawly is what you feel reading this.
I don't think yoou have it in you though.
I think it's your revulsion that helped you write such a great piece.
Good job.
God Bless,
JB

Oooooh, scary
This one sort of reminds me of Richard Ramirez. And firstly I must say how offended I am! How dare you write about a murderer with vacuous morals who goes around and invades homes! And I'm pretty sure he's killing a woman! How sexist! This must mean that you approve of woman killing, you big sexist murderer!

No, no, wait. I DO have a brain. Oh, this is a work of fiction. And well written a that. I'd say you definitely have it in you! Kindred spirits are we as well. I am also fascinated by the sick and twisted minds that stalk the line between cruelty and madness. The other day at work I think I scared some of my coworkers by going on a 20 minute lecture about famous cannibals...

This was well penned, and well worded. Some eerie imagery here. Very well done, dear friend.

""We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow." - Ted Bundy

Infernally yours,

lol lol lol It's funny you should point out my obvious misogyny...I have a similar piece called "Stalker" in my What is it You Want to Know? file which received some pretty high marks and praise from none other than our own W-N morality officer-ette. (Notice my use of 'ette' after officer so as to be politically correct) lol

Also, I find it interesting that you thought of Richard while reading this as he was the 'model' for my character, Creepy Crawly as well as for the Stalker poem. I plan to use Mr Crawly as the subject of more poetry and possibly a short story or novel in the future...and, if I ever do become a serial killer, I think that will be my handle...oh, and I'm only going to kill fat, ugly broads with braces and glasses because I think it's a bit unfair only the pretty blonde women get all the attention. lol

Thanks for reading and again, for all your kind praise, encouragement and support

My three favorite serial killer quotes:

"These children that come at you with knives, they are your children. You taught them. I didn't teach them. I just tried to help them stand up." Charles Manson

"I'd just like to say I'm sailing with the rock, and I'll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus June 6. Like the movie, big mother ship and all, I'll be back." Last words of Aileen Wournos

"Kiss my ass." Last words of John Wayne Gacy

Nice.
One of my favourite subjects - character, the psychopath. No feelings whatsover. It could be the person sitting next to you on the train or the tube, and you'll never know; until it's too late.

Thank you Poet,

Thomas (Author: The Only Solution)
