I miss you Dad

Little did I know that morning
That God would call your name.
In life I loved you dearly;
In death Iíll do the same.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didnít go alone,
Part of me went with you
The day God called you home.
All I have is memories,
And your love is still my guide,
And though I cannot see you,
Youíre always by my side.
The times we shared ended
And nothing seemed the same,
But when itís my time to join you
Iím sure weíll meet again.

lovely and special...
I happen to feel for you in your situation of losing your dad if you really did. I hope that it is not so but if it is then I feel for you and your sorrow. You see i lost my dad too and these seven years that I have makes me miss him more and more. I hope that you will keep on writing that you will keep up the good work you have begun. cubby

Very touching. . .
A beautiful poem, touching and for sure from the heart. But it is not sad, it is a celebration of the memories still strong in your mind. The love you had for your Father is apparent and your verses presents that love brightly for all to see.

I am left with out any family, being the lone survivor of my blood line I am the keeper of all the family memories. Memories are wonderful, they bring smiles and incredibly happy thoughts.

Death is part of life. Some of us live long while others seem to go too soon. But those of us who remain carry the spirit of our loved ones till we ourselves go and rejoin them.

Rick

Very sad, heart breaking even. It seems to come right out of your heart. I am so sorry for your loss.
