"Mozart and Me"

I love the classical music of MOZART-  it sweeps me up with its energy,
oh, those violins, so delicate and powerful and emotional . . .
closing my eyes I am transported and I am a ballerina in one of his opera's,
the music comes in waves of sensuality, suffering, and beauty.

Simple melodies of the piano, textured and deep with tears,
so much pain in his heart is laid out in the notes that I want to weep . . .
I feel your sorrow Mozart-  in each enduring serenade and cadence,
oh, I could listen to his symphonies, concertos for eternity.

Author Notes

I love classical music, I listen to it when I am writing and leave it on all day for my cats, they seem to love it too.

Hi Constance,
I totally love classical music, from the light classics to the heavy, as i call them. I listen to classical music a lot as i write my poetry, just sets the mood wonderfully for me. This piece is most touching, you have listened deeply to the music and you have let your heart sing. Your words do sing the glory of his music. An excellent poetic piece on your feelings of an eternal great of music. Well done Constance. Hugs....Mike. XX. Definitely an SL

My favourite is Mozart requiem. I think it is hauntingly beautiful. I first heard it when I saw the movie amedeus

Short but...
beautifully penned! Not a huge fan of classical music but if memory serves me right ( maybe not at 68 milady!) he began composing when very young and died young as well. Sad and tragic but oh what talent he possessed and look at what he left behind!

Take care,
Mike

I love Mozart, too, Constance. Sometimes I wonder if the "energy" and "sorrow" in his works were due, in part, at least, to a premonition of his premature departure from this earth. But, oh! what a legacy!
