Adored Her

I lifted her
Adored her
On the pedestal
Until one deary, sour day
Announced cancer stage 4
With some weeks only left delay
Returned to earth, took her away
And I don't deny, I do repeat
She was my dearest, closet love
I would never, could ever mistreat
My treasure so mystique, so within

The pleasure years of love
Close friend, companion
Nightly under same cover
Raised family, acquired wealth
Soon, now impregnated in mind

My heart goes out to you, my friend. As cancer is the curse of the modern age. I have lost so many loved ones to that dreadful disease. We can only hope that, one day, it will be cured for once and for all. So no-one - either those with it - or their family and friends - ever have to suffer again. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Namaste. AL
