You think I would be perfect for you 

could be more wrong if you tried 

there is no possibility I could go with you

even if it was for just a day


Your lock has been been opened by so many different keys 

your chamber carpet has been trodden in

is there any guy you would not open the door to

even if they leave soon after 


You have covered yourself in fakery 

in an attempt to hide who you are

it doesn't fool those who know you

though you may deceive strangers for a night 


I would rather be without you or a net

so I would not be able to catch anything 

am not going to be a picture on your wall

a twisted memory of your past
